INTRODUCTION
Developed by American clinical psychologist Dr. Taibi Kahler, the Process Communication Model® (PCM) is an internationally recognised model that allows for the deciphering of human interactions, understanding personality differences, and effectively adapting communication.
Based on six personality types present in each individual, PCM helps identify communication preferences, sources of motivation, and behaviours under stress. By recognising these signals, it becomes possible to prevent misunderstandings, reduce tensions, and strengthen the quality of professional relationships.
The Professional Trainer certification enables mastery of the model and teaches how to use it in training, workshops, coaching, and development programmes. At the end of the programme, participants are qualified to facilitate the official programmes of the Process Communication Model® and to apply the model to improve communication, cooperation, and team effectiveness.
PREREQUISITES
Before starting the training, participants must complete the PCM questionnaire which will provide their Leadership Profile (confidential). This is an individual report of 30 to 40 pages that includes a Self-Care Guide (Personalised action plan to improve personal and professional quality of life).

Peer Practice
After deepening their knowledge of the PCM model, participants are invited to join peer groups. This collaborative work facilitates the integration of content and the practice of facilitation, preparing each participant to confidently lead the subsequent stages of the certification journey.
Training and preparation (5 days)
Participants begin the practice of facilitating the model, with the aim of conveying it with confidence and rigor. This stage consolidates the mastery of key concepts, the pedagogical approach, and the process, including the 4 channels of communication, the 6 perceptions, and the 8 psychological needs. The journey integrates individual reflections and constructive feedback among peers, reinforcing the practical ownership of the model.
Mock exam (1 day)
Participants are placed in a real facilitation situation through a simulated exam. This exercise allows them to apply the knowledge acquired, test the pedagogical dynamics, and receive structured feedback before the final Certification stage. Each participant will conduct a test seminar and receive 10 PCM personality inventories.
Certification (1 day)
The certification process comprises two stages:
- Written exam - aimed at validating the theoretical knowledge of the model.
- Oral exam – focused on the practical facilitation of a part of the PCM programme.
To obtain certification, it is necessary to achieve a minimum score of 7/10 in each of the tests, according to the criteria defined by Taibi Kahler.
